Magic Workshop Parties

A 90-minute workshop party where every child learns great tricks, practises and takes the props home in their party bag.

Learn · Practise · Perform · Amaze

This is not a magic show.

Your magician performs for fifteen minutes. Then the props come out and every child learns to do it themselves.

By the time we leave, they can each perform four tricks — and every one of them takes the props home.

The magic party kit: crushed velvet bag, magic wand, sponge balls, cups and balls, ball and vase, playing cards, mindreading cards and workshop certificate
Real equipment, not party-bag plastic

Learn. Practise. Perform. Amaze.

This is the magic we teach and the kit we teach it with — proper brass cups, a real deck, a solid ball and vase. The same props a working magician carries.

Tailored to your group

Different magic for different young magicians

We choose the four tricks on the day — based on the ages in the room, how confident the children are, and whether anyone has been to one of our parties before. No two parties teach quite the same set.

So if your child has been to one of ours already, they will still be learning something new.

And because we know exactly what your child’s magic club has already taught them, the birthday child learns something new alongside their friends rather than sitting through a repeat.

Why parents book it

Three reasons this one is different

Building confidence

Learning a trick is one thing. Performing it to a room and hearing the reaction is another. That is the part children carry with them.

Something unique

Not a show, not soft play, not a disco. Most parents tell us their child has never been to a party like it.

Your magician

Hello, I’m Ketsy

I’m a professional magician. I’ve been running magic clubs in primary schools since 2011 — these days more than 45 of them, around 800 children every week.

I wrote this workshop myself and I’ve taught it thousands of times. I know which trick a shy seven-year-old will nail first, and which one gets the biggest reaction from the room.

Depending on your date, your party will be run by me or by one of our seven magic tutors — all trained on the same workshop.

Ketsy captivated twelve children in our living room for ninety minutes — which meant we could actually host the parents and get lunch out. The children came away so proud, performing their tricks back to us all afternoon.

You had them absolutely captivated and we are amazed at the magic. Arlo still won’t tell us how he does it!

Thank you Richard for inspiring Rosie and her friends at her 11th birthday party — she had a really great time learning magic tricks with you and still talks about the lemon you made appear from thin air.

Wow! What can I say, how you managed to control a group of 15 five and six year olds is magic in itself. Thanks Richard — highly recommend!

Before you book

Questions parents ask

Will a five-year-old manage it?

Yes. Tricks are chosen so the youngest can do them and the oldest are still stretched. Mixed ages are completely normal.

How much space do you need?

A living room is enough. We’ve run parties in kitchens, village halls and back gardens.

What actually happens in the ninety minutes?

Fifteen minutes of close-up magic, then four tricks taught one at a time, then five minutes of certificates, wands and the gold wand for the birthday child.

What if we have more than ten children?

£7 per extra child, and for larger groups we bring a second pair of hands.

Do parents need to stay?

An adult needs to be in the building, but not in the room. Most use the time to get food ready.

Do we need to provide anything?

Nothing. We bring everything, arrive set up and clear up after ourselves.

What if a child doesn’t get a trick?

We don’t move on until they have. That’s the difference between a workshop and a show.

My child is already in a Ketsy magic club. Will the party repeat what they know?

No. We choose the four tricks on the day and we know what the clubs are teaching, so the birthday child learns something new alongside their friends.

What if the magician is ill?

We have seven tutors. If one of us can’t make it, another can — which a solo entertainer can’t promise.

Is there a deposit?

No deposit and no booking fee. You pay after the party.

How far ahead should we book?

Around six weeks for a weekend. Sooner? Ask anyway — we often have someone free.

Are you DBS checked and insured?

Yes to both, and happy to send the paperwork before the day.

Where we come toFarnham, Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, Camberley, Haslemere, Basingstoke, Alton, Winchester, Bracknell, Wokingham and the villages in between. No travel charge inside our area — ask if you’re just outside it.

Five boxes. We’ll come back within two working days with availability and a firm price. No deposit, no obligation.

Weekends go first

Most Saturdays are taken six to eight weeks ahead, and the weekends either side of half term go earliest of all. If your date is sooner than that, ask anyway — with seven tutors we can often still cover it.
